( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently? In addition, characters will find that they've been allowed to bring back souvenirs from this most recent trip - trinkets, nothing violent, but items that can fit in your character's pockets, whether that be sentimental or otherwise.
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. For those who have been here a while, they might notice some expansions. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.
It might've changed since the last time you saw it. Today it reads:
You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin. In addition to that, it seems like Home Base is on the fritz again…?
It seems that suddenly and at random, characters will be able to suddenly see visions of memories that aren't their own flash before their eyes. Pieces of your lives or where you were before this will suddenly slam into other's heads, as clearly as if they experienced the event and the feelings themselves. You might have an inkling of where your memory went and what it was - but you'll need to talk it out with that person in order to recollect it in all its strength back to yourself. Don't you want to keep those precious parts of yourself? It's best if you don't fall more to pieces while you're here. (Memories that have been lost in fragments cannot be sent to others - that's more fun for the future!)
There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Or maybe you'll get a glimpse of where you're going next. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:
There's still much more ahead of you.

(*´ω`)o That wasn't so bad, was it?
Hey, you know how that old song goes?
Do you believe in magic? (☆▽☆) Do ya?
Hope you found what you were looking for!

until that last name. she looks at wen ning sharply, immediately. ]
-- Wait, Jiang Cheng is here? [ KILL BILL SIRENS ]
no subject
[because, hm, that sure is a reaction-- he didn't think sect leader nie had anything against jiang cheng??]
no subject
Fucking - sort of. I saw him. His nephew had some memories of him that make me real fucking eager to meet him.
no subject
[WOW HE'S ALARMED ALL OVER AGAIN, jin ling is maybe the worst of the juniors to be stuck in a murderhouse? well, lan jingyi might be trouble too, but not as much as jin ling.]
Was he all right?
no subject
but she huffs: ]
He's fine. Survived the whole thing, came out of it with a girl he's dating.
no subject
[what? hello? jin ling managed that??
...he smiles a little, there, calmer after hearing he was all right.]
I think that-- will be good for him. [it's good to know jin ling made those kinds of connections. but also, considering how nie huaisang was last time wen ning saw him:] Um, was Sect Leader Nie all right as well...?
no subject
+10 approval. ]
Yeah. He's okay. Me and him looked out for each other and he lived the whole time too. I was gonna go stay with him, after I took care of some shit at home.
no subject
[he acted like he was dying after getting stabbed in the leg a little bit, murder mansion seems like a very bad place for that type. maybe it'll be good for him to have someone around too?
but, also:]
If you wanted to speak to Sect Leader Jiang, though, I... I'm afraid I can't help much. We don't-- he doesn't really speak to me.
no subject
[ also: beau scowls again because JIANG CHEEEEENNNNNGGG ]
I don't want to speak with him so much as I want to let him view my fists real close up. [ sniff. ] Is he fucking rude to you too?
no subject
He's-- well-- [he's torn, honestly, between saying anything and not speaking ill of his young master's brother to someone he's just met...] He has his reasons... we just d-don't always get along? I don't... mind what he thinks of me, anyway.
[it's when jiang cheng's mad at wei wuxian that he has a problem.]
no subject
I was gonna say I don't know how someone could dislike you, since you don't seem like the kind of person that's easy to hate, but then I remembered who we're talking about. [ beau says dryly. ] It's fine. I'll find him eventually.
[ ominous ]
no subject
I-it's okay. It's not all his fault.
[he might not be the biggest fan of jc, but things... sure happened.]
I hope he doesn't give you too much trouble.
no subject
Anyway. Enough about him, I'll kick his ass later. It's - weird, that I got scooped up into another place that is so similar. Like, you guys know the guys I do. What are the chances of that?
no subject
[he shakes his head, there, hands clasped in front of him to keep from fidgeting.]
Before we were brought here, I-- I wouldn't have thought it was possible to meet people from other worlds at all.
no subject
[ she feels like pacing. maybe she'll pace. ] The fucking murder mansion wasn't even really that weird, like it's basically just a big mimic with a big brain. Like a mimic and a hag had a baby.
I hope time's standing still outside of here. I promised I was gonna keep in touch. [ she holds onto the necklace again with a sigh. ]
no subject
[he was pulled from a very inopportune time... if it's not standing still they'll have a lot of problems?]
What's a mimic, though...?
no subject
no subject
[imagine sitting down and then your chair fucking eats you? mdzs world has some wild things, but wow.]
It's... a relief to know you were all able to handle something of that size.
no subject
Yeah, guess so. I've fought some crazy shit, but... that was the worst one. [ pace pace pace ] Okay, so let me get your thoughts on this one. What kind of shit do we usually lose, here? Like obviously I'm not going to be able to remember if I've forgotten stuff.
Is it all memories? Is it powers? I think I still have my ki, I don't feel like, shut off from it.
no subject
[he doesn't really want to explain being dead, so he's just... dodging around this one.]
I didn't have my core when I arrived either though, or my sword-- those were both returned to me.
no subject
That's good, though, that you got that shit back. Your core's important. [ she knows things! ] Can you do the surfing thing too? With your sword.
no subject
[he blinks at the term, but there's only one thing he can really think of that people have been surprised by, when it comes to their swords.]
Oh-- using it for flight? I can, I'm just... a little bit rusty, to be honest.
no subject
[ grumble. ]
no subject
[he hasn't tried it yet, but you know, it's good practice.]
