( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently? In addition, characters will find that they've been allowed to bring back souvenirs from this most recent trip - trinkets, nothing violent, but items that can fit in your character's pockets, whether that be sentimental or otherwise.
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. For those who have been here a while, they might notice some expansions. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.
It might've changed since the last time you saw it. Today it reads:
You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin. In addition to that, it seems like Home Base is on the fritz again…?
It seems that suddenly and at random, characters will be able to suddenly see visions of memories that aren't their own flash before their eyes. Pieces of your lives or where you were before this will suddenly slam into other's heads, as clearly as if they experienced the event and the feelings themselves. You might have an inkling of where your memory went and what it was - but you'll need to talk it out with that person in order to recollect it in all its strength back to yourself. Don't you want to keep those precious parts of yourself? It's best if you don't fall more to pieces while you're here. (Memories that have been lost in fragments cannot be sent to others - that's more fun for the future!)
There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Or maybe you'll get a glimpse of where you're going next. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:
There's still much more ahead of you.

(*´ω`)o That wasn't so bad, was it?
Hey, you know how that old song goes?
Do you believe in magic? (☆▽☆) Do ya?
Hope you found what you were looking for!

[an easy agreement, iris is nothing if not constantly striving to improve]
Might you desire anything in return?

Might it be 'a way home' - or something like that?

Even so... you think of this all as a game?

That really is becoming evident, isn't it? It's hardly any way to treat people. I didn't think the universe could be quite so unsympathetic.

[she parrots it at first before tilting her head]
I suppose because it's the right thing to do.

However given that we're here, treating us with some measure of dignity should be afforded - instead of just spewing kaomojis at us instead.

Complaining about it won't change anything.

If communication with those in charge isn't possible, then shouldn't the next step be to organize ourselves more reasonably?
[she admittedly hasn't been here that long - but she'll still glance over to ookurikara. at least he can correct her if her thinking starts to go awry anywhere. he seems like the type who won't hold back,]
no subject
No amount of organization is going to matter if we all forget it in the next world. And even if some of us remember, what do you expect to do about it?
no subject
[though it doesn't keep her stumped for long, gears in her mind still working]
It is concerning that the onus would be placed upon those who remember - but that few might be all we need. Success is dependent on how many of us are able to regain whatever parts of ourselves aren't currently collected, yes? As frustrating it is to move forward without knowing what those pieces are, failure isn't an option so we must simply persevere and hope we are rewarded until given the information we need to work with.
Emotions and bonds aren't easily quantifiable, and therefore harder to control - but as long as some people remember the mission at hand, it's better than nothing. Though I would like to create some more reliable than that...
no subject
[ he crosses his arms. ]
And what do you expect those people to do? "Emotions and bonds" aren't a plan.

From what I've heard, some people might be collecting data on more specifics: what types of situations might be able to jog these 'pieces' or 'memories' and let us reclaim them once we return here. Information is necessary first in order to generate a more accurate plan of attack. After experiencing one of these worlds myself, I am one data point - but I'm afraid I need more in order to properly create a system.
[she's normally a long haul kind of girl - waiting years to see results from the institutions she creates. she doesn't have time for that here though,]
But if we can collect the areas in which people have recognized gaps in their memories, plans can be made in order to have them experience similar situations once we travel to the next world. Though it's a bit forceful and crude - it's an option until we can properly refine our understanding of the phenomenon.
no subject
Even that will only work if you get everyone to agree to help, and enough of us remember in the next world to do anything about it. It's been months already. If no one's done anything about it yet, what makes you think that'll change now?
[ can you believe this bitch is really just testing her. ]
no subject
Coordination takes time and trust - and more than that, collecting the information we need takes both manpower and experience. Civilizations weren't built in days, but if there's any time to move forward, it ought to be now.
If everyone is so eager to go home as mentioned, then their cooperation is imperative. To resist helping the group is to hinder themselves, after all.
no subject
[ he meets her gaze, eyebrows raised. ]
Are you so sure you'll have time to convince everyone here?
no subject
[it's a bit of a group project with a single grade assigned to all of them that way, she thinks.]
I'm not sure that I do - but perhaps that's why it's all the more important to start now. If I don't begin, then we will certainly never make it in time.
[she says this but the next world started so it's fine]
