There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.

When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently? In addition, characters will find that they've been allowed to bring back souvenirs from this most recent trip - trinkets, nothing violent, but items that can fit in your character's pockets, whether that be sentimental or otherwise.

The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. For those who have been here a while, they might notice some expansions. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.

It might've changed since the last time you saw it. Today it reads:

You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin. In addition to that, it seems like Home Base is on the fritz again…?

It seems that suddenly and at random, characters will be able to suddenly see visions of memories that aren't their own flash before their eyes. Pieces of your lives or where you were before this will suddenly slam into other's heads, as clearly as if they experienced the event and the feelings themselves. You might have an inkling of where your memory went and what it was - but you'll need to talk it out with that person in order to recollect it in all its strength back to yourself. Don't you want to keep those precious parts of yourself? It's best if you don't fall more to pieces while you're here. (Memories that have been lost in fragments cannot be sent to others - that's more fun for the future!)

There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Or maybe you'll get a glimpse of where you're going next. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:

Eh...? Who are the others?

... have you not run into them yet?

—Ah! The gloomy kid who was mumbling about coins?!

[ray is only 3 years younger and so much smarter]

You knew him too? Apparently he knows me but - I'm not super familiar with him....

[bakaomi]

You don't remember him at all?

Even if the two of you didn't talk, you should at least recognize him...

[ hmmm ]

I guess you forgot him too, then.

[usogi]

[ . . . and senri goes a little bit quiet at that - a little disappointed in himself. because it sucks to be forgotten, or feel like you don't matter to people - even though apparently here it's quite the opposite. you probably have to matter to someone a lot in order to be important enough to lose.

so he thinks about that for a second before glancing at taka - ]

... what do you think we fought about?

You know, for why I can't remember talking to you after the first few weeks.

[bakaomi]

[ he's... thinking... ]

What was the last week you remember me? First? Second? Who died?

[usogi]

[ . . . . it's sorting through a lot of memories but.]

... Shiks did so... that first week.

[and his shoulders droop a little bit more, and a hand comes up to his hair just to fuss with it]

... The last time I saw you, we were doing facemasks in the parlor. [a beat, and senri looks away] I said I wouldn't lie to you about anything important, or I'd try not to - and... you said you trusted me. At least a little.

[bakaomi]

[ it's funny because takaomi still didn't completely believe senri was actually at the temple; it's a specific enough detail that would be hard to lie about it he wasn't there. ]

Why would I ever agree to do that with you...?

[ still. what could they have argued about that week...? ]

I don't know. The week after that was the first time I was successful with my power, so maybe something to do with that? But that was the end of the week...

[usogi]

[ . . . ]

Shiks was a good friend of mine - if you really don't remember me at all then.... You probably don't remember what happened after we found out that she got hurt, huh.

[thanks, he's hating this more and more. he doesn't even catch how he finds himself walking a step closer to taka]

Did you not tell me...? Did you hide it from me?

[bakaomi]

No idea.

But, you probably just flat out don't remember me after that week because of this place. Even if we stopped talking because of a fight, you would have still seen me around. We were stuck together at trials, you know. No matter how much you would have attempted to avoid me, not seeing me, or even hearing about me ever again after that is basically impossible.

[usogi]

[ . . . hm. he doesn't like the sound of that, but he can't really deny the logic. even if he got really mad at taka, he didn't think that it would be possible to let go of him so easily when it felt like they were finally getting a little closer to understanding each other.

and now they're a few steps back again

... sorry then - for forgetting you.

[ he wasn't expecting any type of apology. after all, it's not like senri went and forgot on purpose... probably. but if this is another fragment, it's not like senri meant to. ]

Don't apologize. It's weird.

[usogi]

You're weird.

[ - that's a reflex.

but after a moment longer, senri just shrugs, like it'll make any of this easier to say]

... I hope we both remember eventually - it was... [ . . . ] I was just thinking it wasn't bad, hanging out with you so much.

[it wasn't bad, having someone who would come looking for him when things got scary, or someone who would put up with him and try to trust him]

[ it's seriously odd to think about, that something about senri was apparently important enough that taka doesn't remember him at the temple at all. did they actually become friends?

... if you lived til the end, then you probably did fine. I'm sure you made a lot of friends.

[usogi]

... yeah. I got to leave with memories of people important to me, so...

[that was already pretty good.]

Just... apparently not all of them? What about you? What else are you missing?

... well, now I'm not sure?

[ it's not like senri had any idea he was missing these memories until taka pointed it out. ]

I guess it'll be easier to figure out now that more people from the temple are here though.

Eh? Who else is here besides Ray-kun?

[more head tilting... though at the mention of the temple, it reminds him - ]

Oh! And where are we sleeping?

[bakaomi]

[ he's about to answer the first question

and then pauses at the second. ]

Uh. People usually sleep in the store or on the train.

[usogi]

[he nods

and asks the same question - ]

So where are we sleeping?

[bakaomi]

Are you going to follow me around...?

[ they didn't do that at the temple, did they??? ]

[usogi]

Not the whole time - I'd get way too tired of seeing your face!

[hm]

But normally we'd go back to the same dorm... so at the temple we'd normally find the same place when it was evening. There was the game room and everything. They had all the Kingdom Hearts games! We started from the beginning.

Didn't I play those with Sasuke...?
