There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.

When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently? In addition, characters will find that they've been allowed to bring back souvenirs from this most recent trip - trinkets, nothing violent, but items that can fit in your character's pockets, whether that be sentimental or otherwise.

The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. For those who have been here a while, they might notice some expansions. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.

It might've changed since the last time you saw it. Today it reads:

You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin. In addition to that, it seems like Home Base is on the fritz again…?

It seems that suddenly and at random, characters will be able to suddenly see visions of memories that aren't their own flash before their eyes. Pieces of your lives or where you were before this will suddenly slam into other's heads, as clearly as if they experienced the event and the feelings themselves. You might have an inkling of where your memory went and what it was - but you'll need to talk it out with that person in order to recollect it in all its strength back to yourself. Don't you want to keep those precious parts of yourself? It's best if you don't fall more to pieces while you're here. (Memories that have been lost in fragments cannot be sent to others - that's more fun for the future!)

There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Or maybe you'll get a glimpse of where you're going next. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:

I ended up working with Ishikirimaru, Ray, and Sasuke a lot. I wouldn't say we were friends, but they were the ones I ended up trusting the most.

[he crosses his arms and tilts his head, trying to puzzle it out]

Mm, but... I worked with Ishirin-san a lot....

[ taka-- well, he doesn't smile, exactly, but his expression almost makes it seem like he does. ]

I was with him when he lost that hand, stupid. Luna attacked the both of us.

and immediately senri is grabbing onto taka's arm because he has one braincell and it's currently unavailable, looking him over even though he knows damn well as injuries got healed at the end]

Eh - what! And you're sure you lived?! How?! You're okay? No injury, no lasting damage?!

[ senri's concern is more surprising than it should be. taka takes a step back, involuntarily, and he sighs. ]

I told you I lived til the end. Stop questioning that already, it's annoying.

It's not like I wanted you to die or anything—

[the opposite, actually. and senri takes his hand back then, apparently catching himself a bit late]

That's just... a really scary thing.... I'm glad you're okay.

[that was the night senri cuddled with beauty and right now he doesn't realize that was a bad thing at all]

Well, don't worry about it. It turned out fine.

[ it's weird, because taka hasn't discussed what happened with anyone outside of the group that was involved.

even now he feels uncomfortable bringing it up to senri. ]

there's a second of uncomfortable silence before he tilts his head]

but senri just looks at him as seriously as he can]

[ he wasn't expecting that. ]

[ . . . and senri just nods then, seeming to settle at that a bit more.]

[ he should probably point out that he's been here for several months at this point

but he decides not to, since that will probably just freak senri out again. ]

[and he'll extend his hand to taka, like he wants them to shake on it]

[ he glances at the hand

and will slowly reach forward and take it. they are shaking hands. ]

[usogi]

[ . . . yeah. that seems to sit well with senri. and he'll just squeeze taka's hand once before letting go, offering up a smile - ]

Now we definitely have to get your memories of me back!

You even said some kind of decent things to me? You won't believe it until you remember for yourself though.

I don't understand why I wouldn't remember you...

[ did they actually become friends? is that possible?? ]

Mm... I don't know why I wouldn't remember you either, unless you did something really big that...

[that could've hurt him a lot. and he thinks that the more he remembers about that first week, that could've been possible.

he put a lot of trust in taka, after all. a lot of hope, too.]

.... nevermind. It's probably something dumb.

[ senri did blame taka earlier and claim that whatever fight they had was his fault. ]

... but you don't even remember how hard I was trying so it's not like you'd believe me.

[ he makes a note to ask ray or sasuke about this later. maybe one of them would have had some sort of idea about this; it's obvious that if senri doesn't remember either of the two, then they must have been important to him somehow, so. they're his best bet. ]

All I know is that-- I don't know. Somehow, you mattered enough that you're supposedly a piece of my soul. I don't know if that means something bad happened, or what...
