welcome mingle
( AND SO IT BEGINS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably.
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.
Well - that, and all the people who seem to have woken up alongside you, lost and also probably Doing Their Best™.
There's no need to fret that much though. It's hard to say exactly where you're going next, even though some places might feel a little bit more like a clue, but what you do know is one unshakeable thing:
There's still much more ahead of you.

Sways.
Steps forward.
And finally shakes off the slight dizziness.
AHEM.]
... Anyway. Since we'll be walking for awhile... what've you been up to here since you got here, cat ears aside?

I took a look around the train first.
[since that's where he woke up THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT]
I read the welcome message engraved onto that slab, too. Otherwise, I've spent most of my time here, trying to find the closet to Narnia.
[. . . okay Akira]

Okay, Akira.]
I take it, since you're still here, you haven't had any luck finding a closet?

[FORLORNLY]
I'm on the verge of giving up for the day.
no subject
[HMMM...]
Giving up on Narnia so easily... that's tragic.

And then just:]
Nah.
[NAH.]

[presses a hand against his mouth and just. laughs at the simple denial]

Don't let your dreams just be dreams. Follow them with all of your heart. You can be whatever you want to be.

[Akira replies, and his tone would be bland too if the vestiges of his laughter wasn't lacing his words]

I am a drug store greeting card.
I hate that you had to find out this way.
[How does he keep a straight face through this.]
