( AND SO IT BEGINS. )
There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably.
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.
Well - that, and all the people who seem to have woken up alongside you, lost and also probably Doing Their Best™.
There's no need to fret that much though. It's hard to say exactly where you're going next, even though some places might feel a little bit more like a clue, but what you do know is one unshakeable thing:
There's still much more ahead of you.

Haku. [His eyes turn to Tamamo fully.] Yubaba's apprentice.
[Which probably explains nothing about why he may potentially feel not very Boy Apprentice like.]

[She phrases it like the fault is on her, for not being able to recall who Yubaba is, but her eyes are narrowed with thought as she glances him up and down]
Regardless, Haku-san, you may call me Mizukume if you wish.
It seems we are quite alike in some ways.

[She is definitely different than a casual bathhouse worker, so he can't exactly demand Master Haku. He bows at the shoulders and head very stiffly and formally, only for a moment.]

No, I don't think they would. She has a twin sister, however. [Casually, he just, like, leaves out some important details.] Her powers could have caused this, but I haven't met anyone else here before--spirit or human alike.

Something a part of me. Someone else is missing something tangible. Like an item, I assume. I can’t say if it is a way to keep us here. Yubaba takes people’s names to control them. It could be similar.

Whatever it is, it'll be important to you. As far as I know, I am only missing one part of myself. But the man I spoke with was missing more than one.
