welcome mingle
( AND SO IT BEGINS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably.
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.
Well - that, and all the people who seem to have woken up alongside you, lost and also probably Doing Their Best™.
There's no need to fret that much though. It's hard to say exactly where you're going next, even though some places might feel a little bit more like a clue, but what you do know is one unshakeable thing:
There's still much more ahead of you.

He watches Hunter at the window for a moment, and then moves over to stand in front of the seat facing the windows.]
I saw it. It won't bother you.

[He pauses for a second before he continues.]
Wait, how do you know that?

The spirit world is separate from the human world for a reason. It causes a lot of problems when they mix. Which is why you probably haven't ever seen one before. If you have, you're one of the lucky few you weren't eaten.

...Okay, significantly less cool than I thought that explanation would be. But, wait - does that mean you have some idea about what's going on here, or are you just a dragon expert...?

I haven't found anything regarding us being here. Aside from the pillar with the writing. It could be... a part of the spirit world, but there are too many humans here. I don't believe it's that.

Okay. But... You've seen one of those things before? The dragon, I mean. You're familiar with it enough to know what world or dimension or whatever it's supposed to be in.

[Sadly, the dragon does not seem to come back for Hunter's fascination, and so he turns away from the window and the seat to stand again in the middle of the car.]
It belongs in the spirit world. Some do exist in the human world, but humans rarely see them. This place is neither the spirit world nor the human world. The dragon is displaced like the rest of us.
