( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently?
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble. It might've changed since the last time you saw it.
You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin.
There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:
There's still much more ahead of you.

Aha, Shi would be most unfortunate. Those are some good names, though!
no subject
I'll use them interchangeably until one seems to really stick or pop out, then!
no subject
also that's a terrible idea but shigure is a-ok with it]
I'll try to remember to respond to each one, in that case!
no subject
Perfect, it's settled then! Just tell me when I land on a name you like best, alright? [He's going to just be the man of 100 names by the end of this RIP IN REST.]
Speaking of, how about I—
[Whatever that sentence was about to be will have to remain unfinished for now, since the train is NOT SLOWING DOWN AS THEY ENTER THE BEND. Unlike his previous proclamation about testing out his grip strength, he does not, in fact, bother trying to hold onto anything even as he tips to the side. Mostly he just wants to see what Shigure will do, god.]
no subject
but this is exactly why shigure was moving closer anyway, so he immediately moves to grab wei wuxian?? they go over, but because i can only have so many threads where shigure sprains something probably, he quickly grabs something on the side of the train so ig they'll just dangle there around the bend.]
no subject
Ah—! Amazing! What speed and strength - that's really impressive!
no subject
Hahaha, right? Very different from kite-riding!
no subject
Haha, I meant you. [Running and catching him and saving him from death's loving embrace so swiftly!]
But this train is impressive too, it's true! [Then, curiously, as if dangling from the side of a train is the perfect place for casual conversation:] Kite-riding, though? Is that what it sounds like?
no subject
[he says with zero shame. anyhow, he nods.]
When I was young, my friend and I, with his sister, would climb up high and hang from kites in the sky. Of course, the adults always reprimanded us for it!
no subject
[He says with a grin LIKE HE ISN'T THE REASON SHIGURE JUMPED OFF THE SIDE OF A TRAIN... It's fine.
Also, that sounds AMAZING?? What the fuck.]
Oh! Those must have been enormous kites if they could support the weight of a person! I want to try something like that.
no subject
[yeah it's all wwx's fault]
The view is fantastic, too. It's one thing to see a city from the ground, but from the sky is another thing!
no subject
Is that why you wanted to come up here? Though I suppose there isn't much of a "sky" or "ground" to speak of, haha. It's fine! We'll probably get to see those soon enough.
no subject
Hahaha! They say the only things that like high places are smoke and fools, after all.
no subject
Hm! Never heard that one before, but I can't say I disagree. [WHY ELSE WOULD THEY BOTH BE UP HERE.] Still! Why save the best views for smoke alone, right?
no subject
Right? You have a very good point there.
no subject
Have you tried looking from the top of that giant store yet? You should, if you haven't! The view isn't that great since it's all just white nothingness, but it's fun to be that high up.

no subject
[FLY TO THEIR DEATHS.]
no subject
[IT'S NOT A NO]
no subject
[ie "I'm not sure but it sounds like a fun thing to try!"]
If we aim it right, we'll probably be able to land on the ground instead of waiting to hit another track.
no subject
no subject
[They're both going to break all four of their collective legs.]
no subject
[it's fine,]
no subject
[THE PRIZE IS GOING TO BE CASTS FOR THEIR BROKEN BONES.]
no subject
Hahaha, interesting! All right!
