( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently?
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble. It might've changed since the last time you saw it.
You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin.
There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:
There's still much more ahead of you.

No, my brother does all of the sewing.
[then... doushite.... She shakes out the sleeves of her super old-fashioned sengoku era kimono,]
Here, see? Isn't it pretty? Isn't his needlework so delicate and fine? [there's also like maybe one or two glaring holes on the hem of her dress, probably also like splattered with what suspiciously looks like blood but it's fine, it's just SPECIAL EFFECTS... PROBABLY...] Your clothes aren't so bad, but I think mine are a lot better!

Mm. They look like they came from a historical museum, and I mean it in a good way. But to be fair, kimono are always going to look fantastic compared to the plain old digs I'm wearing right now.
[ says the guy who can afford louboutins for his feet ]
no subject
Okuni immediately looks confused?? how many oldies will itaru be forced to meet]
...A historical museum? Is that a place where kimonos are made?
no subject
Oh, it's a place dedicated to presenting artifacts from olden times. Um, I'm from the far future, which is why I'm dressed like this.
[ this is what they were in the future, okuni. comfy shirts and pants and overpriced shoes. behold. ]
no subject
Okuni just looks at him like she can't tell if Itaru is trying to pull one over on her and you know what... she kind of respects that he's trying to do so, if he really is.]
So everyone dresses like you in the future? [wow.... he's like... wearing trousers? it all just looks really tight?] Let me try on your clothes!
[okuni is officially Intrigued]
no subject
itaru's a little taken aback from okuni's request too, looking down at his own clothes. oh god oh fuck did he just unlock an awkward-ass dialogue tree with her? like ngl it might not be a good idea right now??? what would the others think?! ]
...I'm not sure if this blazer would look good with your kimono.
no subject
No, not the jacket! [he meant jacket right, anyway] Those!
[and she just points to itaru’s trousers. The silver lining here is that… there is no silver lining, okuni is that one NPC that just exists to be memed and put on youtube.]
no subject
and so does itaru, who may not show it right now thanks to his *impeccable* acting skills, but the tips of his ears are burning red right now. years of playing dating sims and visual novels on how to get the girl of your dreams did not prepare him for the real deal, okay?! think, think -- ]
They might not look good on you. Like, trust me on this. And we have nothing to cover up with if we just do an impromptu outfit swap in here, so...
no subject
Eh, you're concerned about that? You're surprisingly bashful... I guess men from the future are still the same.
[okuni is being mean, she can see his EARS!! The only reason she notices is because she has the same exact tell -- her ears grow red when she's embarrassed too... It's always better when it's the other person being embarrassed though.]
It's fine! We can do this later then if you like.
[u mean never]
