( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently?
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble. It might've changed since the last time you saw it.
You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin.
There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:
There's still much more ahead of you.

Hah, you do seem like the type to brute-force your way through any troubles you may run up against! As long as it's worked out for you this far...
[Concerning, though?? A little concerning. Anyway after shaking his sleeves enough, a red pen tumbles out. Thanks Costco!! It's not as nice as cinnabar or as spooky as blood but it does the trick in a pinch. A beat later and he's already starting to scrawl out an intricate design.]
Anything else you need while I've got these out? I'll do what I can!
no subject
That doesn't look like an omamori.
[ what kind of saniwa are you ]
no subject
Hah, I did say it was like one, yes? Different places with different items that serve what's more or less the same purpose.
no subject
Whatever. As long as it works.
no subject
Mm, it will! Well - if you're up against anything supernatural, anyway. Won't stop you from being stabbed or pushed from the train or something, unfortunately.
no subject
...But does it make sure the one holding it won't break?
[ not that he expects to. see above stubbornness. but he might as well double check because otherwise what's the point. ]
no subject
Depends on what you mean, I suppose? Let's say a ghoul is heading your way! This will make it so they can't get near you. Should cover you from ghosts, malicious entities, unholy beasts, anything like that. If it's paired with one for luck, it should keep you from attracting trouble in the first place. Do you want something else?
[Let Wei Wuxian start his first endeavor into whacky spell crafting again for the sake of keeping swords safe.]
no subject
eventually he'll just shake his head. ]
No.
no subject
[Wei Wuxian finishes up the first talisman and gets to work on the second one! Miraculously, he actually remains pretty quiet this time, if only to ensure that he does everything perfectly. This person is clearly concerned about breaking, so he's gotta make sure his talismans are in tip-top form!
Though instead of handing them over immediately when he's done, he begins folding them up... It looks like he's making origami? Little paper people??]
no subject
What are you doing with it?
no subject
There! Just making them easier for you to keep track of.
[He's absolutely just doing this because the image of this grumpy man being pestered by flying paper is hilarious. They're being very well-behaved for now, though!]
no subject
Do yours always move?
[ he's. not sure he appreciates the gesture. it's so weird. ]
no subject
Not always.
[FORTUNATELY FOR HIM they'll stop moving on their own after a few hours so it ain't no big thing either way. Just a few hours of dealing with these lil dudes being pests...]
It doesn't bother you, does it?
no subject
...It's weird.
[ thank goodness they'll stop because if they didn't he would cut them apart ]
no subject
Really? I think they're cute!
[He also thinks coffins are cute though so, y'know.
EITHER WAY with that all settled, he'll start shoving stuff back into his robes like a cretin and gesture forward vaguely.]
Shall we keep searching?
no subject
glad he's from a normal one. after giving the paperman one last, unsure glance, kara moves toward the next door. he doesn't want to think about other citadels too hard, anyway, especially not weird ones like this guy's.
anyway. the next car is... a salon! wow. there are so many brushes and... other accoutrements that kara doesn't recognize, but he thinks some of the other swords would like it here? not that it helps him get home. hm. ]
no subject
He'll follow along after, though, seemingly satisfied enough by Kara's acceptance of his new paperman friend to leave off any other questions. He does glance curiously around the salon, though... Immediately, he flounces over toward one of the styling sinks, flipping the faucet on and off and then rummaging through the little blue water container thingy with combs.]
What's this room supposed to be? Never seen a cart like this before... They really do have anything you could think of though, hah.
no subject
It doesn't matter if it isn't a way home.
[ so he's gonna walk past all of it without a second glance ]
