( WELCOME BACK, TRAVELERS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.

When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably. Or did you get something back recently?

The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble. It might've changed since the last time you saw it.

You might have changed since the last time you saw yourself too - perhaps with a new emblem on your clothes, or a portrait on your skin.

There's no need to fret that much though. You've already gone through the ordeal once, and you might be able to see results from it. Even so, it's best that you don't get too comfortable, because there is still the unshakeable feeling:

[ She pouts, although it's not as strong a reaction as the over the top dramatics from earlier. ]

Don't just tell a cute girl that straight to her face. [ But between the stuff earlier and now this, she's figured out he's just the type of person to say it anyway. It doesn't really seem to bother her. ] At least keep it at 'a little weird'! What am I supposed to do if I'd really be called a complete weirdo so easily, huh? That'd make both of us total weirdos.

[ That's how it is, and Kano cracks up laughing. ]

What's there to do? If taking on the mantle is what makes us total weirdos, there's nothing to it~

[ He sets the handtruck back upright and sets a foot down behind the wheel so so he kick off on it and ride it like a scooter. He gets maybe two feet at a time, doing it like this, and motions for Minako to get back on once he's back. ]

[ Apparently she's still willing to try it despite the earlier "attempts", so she does get back on when he gestures for her to do so.

She glances behind her though to look at him. ]

.. by the way, what's your name? I guess you kind of forget to start with introductions when you're in this weird.. whatever it is place.

Haha, that's true~ And here I thought I could get away without one!

[ Kano tips the handtruck far enough that Minako is almost lying down instead of standing up, and she can just look straight up to see his upside down face. Most of his effort is now spent lifting the handtruck so he doesn't accidentally let go and slam the back of her head on the floor, than it is going forward, but they'll slow inch by inch down the aisle. ]

You can call me Gel-P. What's your name?

[ Minako seems to make no protests to being ~~man~~handtruckhandled over here, but since her face is so visible to him while she's lying like that, he'll easily be able to see the way she squints at him.

That is obviously a codename. She's not stupid! Two can play at this game! ]

V-babe.

[ She mostly manages to say it so quickly and easily since it's not really a lie when it's one of her nicknames.. ]

[ V-babe... Minako is in danger of being dropped, seeing as Kano has to stop walking for a moment, his arms shaking with the weight and shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter. ]

Gotcha, gotcha~ Ahh, I hope I don't slip up and accidentally call you "babe" around others! V-babe. Okay!

[ Thankfully she manages to latch onto the handtruck at the last moment to avoid a very undignified slide to the ground. ]

It's good that you understand. But! [ She suddenly sounds very serious. Except it's very dramatically serious, which is to say.. not serious at all, really. ] Just remember.

[ When she steadies herself enough to let go of the device with one hand, she raises a single finger. ]

If you slip up and just call me 'babe' in front of other people even once.. you'll have to take responsibility.

[ It's a flippant response to Minako's dramatically serious demand, but he does promise it, easing the handtruck back to its original upright position because it's that much easier to push. ]

What if we're alone? Can I slip up and call you "babe" then?

If you're putting it like that, it's almost as if you're saying that you want to slip up and call me that!

[ No answer yet though, huh. ]

It's almost like that, but I'm not saying it like that~! I can't help slipping up, right? We're all sorta human-ish, after all!

[ Not everybody's human, and he's supposed to not be human, but the matter of the fact is that everybody is allowed mistakes and he will stand by that. ]

[ Sorta human-ish is kind of a weird thing to say.

Usually she may assume that means he's definitely not human despite looking like it, but.. honestly. With the way he's been talking so far, she's just going to chalk it up to his weird way of talking and lets it slide entirely. ]

Fine, fine. I'll forgive you if you slip up when it's just the two of us, okay? The heart of the goddess of love and beauty is big and all-enveloping, after all!

[ He feels like he gets a pass for being sorta humanish when he's been called a monster all his life, but it's always nice when he gets excused for being him. ]

Ooh, nice. I'll take that forgiveness~ Just how much does the goddess of love and beauty forgive? I'm kinda tempted to find that line!

[ Is he saying that he's going to harass her! ]

I guess the goddess of love is all about a little temptation.. [ In other words, she can endure some harassment. Probably. Even though she'll be overly dramatic about it. ] But don't forget that there's no wrath like that belonging to the goddess of love and beauty! You don't want to be cursed when it comes to love for all your life, do you? Think of all the cute girls out there who might cry because your heart will never be theirs!

[ He's not saying he will... but he might... ]

Haha, is that how the curse works? Shouldn't the curse be the other way around, making it so nobody would ever love me? 'cause, you know, never being able to love anybody's kinda...

[ Normal, to be honest. Nobody ever loving him is also normal, whether that's romantically or in the general sense of the word. This sort of curse does nothing for him. ]

.. hm? Kind of what?

[ The dramatics from a moment ago fade, because the way his voice trails off is really making her curious. Loving people is a topic near and dear to Minako's heart, after all, and so she can't imagine what he was trying to say. ]

I think both of those things are equally bad, really. I mean, it'd suck either way!

Kindaaaaaaaaa... not a problem at all! Yeah! I think I'd be fine without all that lovey-dovey stuff, babe.

[ Here he starts already. ]

You slipped up. [ But she says it so casually, like she's more just remarking it just because. Honestly, Minako knew this moment would come..!!

But it's more just a casual side-remark since the rest of what he says is a lot more important here. ]

What do you mean, fine without it? You seriously don't want that in your life? Ever? [ Maybe it's just his age? Teenage boys can be weird... ]

Oh, I did slip up! Sorry, sorry, gotta get into the habit of remembering the V! V-babe. Veeeeeeeeeeee-babe. Okay.

[ Names are important, Minako! Kano decides to hyperfocus on this instead of his nonexistent love life that he's not going to talk about. ]

[ MIGHTY SUSPICIOUS, KANO.

Or, well, it's more like just really obvious he doesn't want to breach this topic with the way he's avoiding it. And while Minako can be a total tactless bulldozer at times, it feels a little bit too much to go all the way with that with a total stranger right now.

Especially about a potentially sensitive topic like this. So! You may live another day without love talk, Kano.. For now. ]

[ For now................. But he's let off the hook, which he's incredibly grateful for. Not that it shows in the way he laughs, hands shoved in his pockets and rocking back on his heels. ]

Sure you can use all three wishes at once! The genie didn't have a rule like that, did he? Ahh- but the first screw-up doesn't count, okay?! Three starting now!

[ Since it's not like she actually cares about the specific number. ]

[ End of the world? He's willing to take that chance. But he steps away from the handtruck and gestures to it, glad for a break from wheeling it around everywhere. ]
