welcome mingle
( AND SO IT BEGINS. )

There's nothing but the clatter of train tracks, and the odd feeling of almost floating.
When you wake, it's hard to tell exactly what it is that you're missing - only that you are. There are pieces that aren't quite right, even if you're not sure where those pieces would normally be. Pieces of what, exactly....? Well, if you had to put a word to it, it would be - yourself, probably.
The place you've found yourself in is strange, certainly. It's probably worth exploring a bit. Though it just as easily seems that the only form of welcome or explanation that you have, comes from nothing more than a slab of marble.
Well - that, and all the people who seem to have woken up alongside you, lost and also probably Doing Their Best™.
There's no need to fret that much though. It's hard to say exactly where you're going next, even though some places might feel a little bit more like a clue, but what you do know is one unshakeable thing:
There's still much more ahead of you.

[One would think that, upon arriving in a place like this, wandering for awhile, and finding no answers, one would be a bit more concerned about the current situation.
That is Incorrect in this case, because this blue-haired, bland-looking boy is really just mostly focused on the snack cart in this particular train car.
Judging by the mountain of wrappers next to him, he has already worked his way through a solid amount of the snacks present there, but... he also has a packaged piece of melon bread in one hand and is poking through the remaining snacks with the other. Who even needs that many snacks???
Stop this snack massacre. Or don't, you can join him, too, he might share.]
b. fantasy costco
[Fantasy Costco is.... huge. Minato was sure that eventually, he would find the way all the way around, but he has.... not. Succeeded... in doing that...
And now his feet are sore, and he's tired from eating so many snacks on the train, and he's starting to feel like he will never escape this gigantic store full of weirdass things, and that is why...
He can be found snoozing on top of a bin of plastic packs of four or five pillows with cheesy words on them like this one. The plastic honestly doesn't even look that comfy and yet. He looks like he is conked out.]
c. wildcard
[help me, I'm out of practice writing prompts, hit me with whatever or hit me up for a personalized thing]
fantasy costco
why]
Hey kid...
[galo is probably no more than like 5 or 6 years older than minato and yet,, he'll just wander over to go see where this loser has just plopped over for an afternoon nap and
gently reach out to shake him]
The patio section at least won't kill your back, you know?
[this is a stupid suggestion]
no subject
Minato kind of stirs a little when he's shaken, yawning, covering his mouth.
He pries open an eye to peer at said helpful adult [citation needed].]
... I couldn't find it again. So I gave up.
The only landmark I could find nearby was the scarily tall stack of napkins.
no subject
[HE'S SO WORRIED ABOUT YOUR BACK, MINATO]
Are you tired? C'mon, I'll bring you somewhere better if you're exhausted.
[he thinks minato might not have found food or water so he's out of energy
instead of just
food coma-ing]

LIGHTLY!!! and without the use of her iron fan... she's going hands-on for this, she's gonna BOP],/small>
i love and hate this cr every time
Or trying to.
But instead? Now he's choking.
GOOD JOB, OKUNI.
RIP minato, your new lease on life lasted about an hour and a half.]
GOOD
actually she didn't really MEAN TO KILL MINATO, so she immediately tries shoving him on the back so he leans forward and then,
whacks him on the back
BUT TO SAVE HIM!!!!]

And also why are they still in the package?? WHY IS THIS CHILD ASLEEP IN A STORE Lan Wangji is too fucking dad for this
So he'll just try and gently shake Minato's shoulder, trying not to startle him too much...]
You should not sleep here.
no subject
Minato, for his part, stirs pretty slowly, yawning and stretching a little when Lan Wangji nudges him.
His back pops when he stretches, which like. Just confirms what Lan Wangji is saying.]
Hm...? What? Oh--sorry, do you work here...?
[Minato, does he look like he works here?]
no subject
Lan Wangji doesn't take offense, though, simply shakes his head.]
No. [But--] You seemed uncomfortable.
[Actually he seemed perfectly comfortable, it's just his caregiver instincts kicking in...]
There are better places to rest, outside. [DON'T SLEEP IN STORES... he's mainly thinking of the train seats, which at least looked pretty soft last he saw them? Surely that would be better than this.]

Hey, hey~ Do any of 'em have those, like, little drying packets? Y'know, the ones that keep dry snacks dry?
[ desiccant packs... ]
no subject
Instead.
Without missing a beat:]
No, I ate them.
[NO HE DID NOT they're in the trash pile.]
no subject
That's no good~ You're gonna get super dry if you keep that up! Are you getting enough fluids? Your stomach's gonna shrivel up if you're not careful! Here, here~
[ Are there any drinks in here... it's only snacks... Here's a jelly tube or something— Kano fishes that out of Minato's pile to hand to him. Jelly is sort of liquid. It counts. ]

You'll hurt your stomach eating all of this.
no subject
... He lifts his head, stretching a little, and surveys his trash pile.]
... Oh. I hadn't realized that I'd eaten so much. [How.]
Er... I'll clean this up. Sorry--am I in your way?
no subject
I was only searching the train. [ smirking a little. ] There wasn't much more of a goal than that.
[ lio bends down and starts picking up wrappers. ]

Fox girl is in a mood so she's going to just grab a pillow from the bottom that will cause an avalanche and have poor minato falling straight onto the floor.
This bodes well.]
no subject
Naturally, gravity takes hold as soon as she yanks out that pillow, and the rest of the packaged, horrifying pillows go tumbling...as does Minato. He spills onto the cold tile floor, blinking.
... Ow.]
... Uh.
[Slowly, he lifts his head.]
... Sorry, was I in your way? [Minato no.]
no subject
[Which means she is not even going to leave, in that case, and instead drops the pillow to the floor while she assesses him]
Why were you sleeping? I would think that an unwise decision given we've all been whisked away to wherever this is.

Then she looks away.
Back to the snacks...
...and then away.
Her stomach growls loudly. She, at least, has the good grace to look embarrassed before she speaks up.]
Pardon me... might you be willing to share your bounty?
no subject
Minato, much to his shame, was far too distracted munching on his snacks and staring out the train window to notice her until she speaks up--but he's quick to glance over when she does.]
Oh--yeah, of course.
[He digs into the cart, peering at the many, many colorful packages.]
There's a lot here, so... what sorts of things do you like?

I am quite fond of sweet foods! ...however, I must admit I am unfamiliar with what you have there...

Realizes that he's not in his own bed far too late.
And topples off of the pillow pile.
